Past Continuous Tense
The Past Continuous describes an action in progress at a specific past time.
Formation:
Affirmative: Subject + was/were + verb-ing
Negative: Subject + was/were + not + verb-ing
Interrogative: Was/Were + subject + verb-ing?

Uses:
- Action in progress at a specific time: At 8 PM I was watching TV.
- Two simultaneous actions: While I was cooking he was setting the table.
- Interrupted action: I was sleeping when the phone rang.
