The Present Perfect Tense: Formation and Uses
The present perfect tense connects the past with the present. It is used for actions that started in the past and continue to the present, or actions that happened at an unspecified time in the past.
Formation
have/has + past participle

Uses
- Experience: I have visited London. (at some time in my life)
- Change over time: You have grown since last year.
- Accomplishments: Scientists have discovered many planets.
- Unfinished actions: She has lived here for 5 years. (she still lives here)
