Past Simple vs Past Continuous
1. Past Simple
Completed actions in the past. Form: V2 (regular -ed/irregular). Negative: didn’t + V1. I visited Paris last year. She didn’t go. Did you see the film?
2. Past Continuous
Actions in progress at a specific time. Form: was/were + V-ing. I was reading at 8pm. She was cooking when I arrived.
3. When and While
When + past simple: When she arrived, I was sleeping. While + past continuous: While I was sleeping, she arrived.

- Choose: While/When I was walking, I saw an accident.
