Future Tenses: Will, Going to, Present Continuous
1. Will
Predictions: I think it will rain. Spontaneous decisions: I’ll help you. Promises: I’ll call you. Form: will + base verb.
2. Going to
Plans/intentions: I’m going to study medicine. Evidence: Look at the clouds! It’s going to rain. Form: am/is/are + going to + base verb.
3. Present Continuous for Future
Arrangements: I am meeting my friends at 6pm. She is flying to Paris tomorrow.
4. Comparison
Will: prediction, spontaneous. Going to: plan, evidence. Present Continuous: arrangement.
