English — Reading: The Importance of Water — 2nd Year Middle School — Algerian Curriculum

Water is essential for life. We use water every day for drinking, cooking, cleaning, and farming. Without water, humans, animals, and plants cannot survive. The human body is made up of about 60% water. That is why we need to drink at least 8 glasses of water every day.
Unfortunately, clean water is not available everywhere. Many people in the world do not have access to safe drinking water. Climate change and pollution are making the problem worse.
