Indefinite Pronouns
People
Someone/somebody: a person (affirmative). Ex: Someone is at the door.
Anyone/anybody: any person (questions/negatives). Ex: Is anyone there? I don’t know anyone.
No one/nobody: no person. Ex: No one came to the party.
Everyone/everybody: all people. Ex: Everyone likes ice cream.
Things
Something: an object (affirmative). Ex: I have something for you.
Anything: any object. Ex: Do you want anything?
Nothing: no object. Ex: There is nothing in the box.
Everything: all objects. Ex: Everything is fine.
Exercises
