The Causative: Have/Get Something Done
Used when someone else does something for you. Form: have/get + object + past participle.
Examples: I had my hair cut. (the barber cut it) / I got my car repaired. (the mechanic repaired it) / She had her house painted. / We are having a new house built.
Questions: Did you have your photo taken? / Where did you get your shoes repaired?
