Lesson Objectives:

Second Conditional:

The second conditional is used to talk about unreal, imaginary, or unlikely situations in the present or future. Structure: If + past simple, would + base verb. Example: If I had a million dollars, I would travel around the world. If I were you, I would study harder.

• We use WERE for all subjects in formal English: If I were rich, If he were here.
• It expresses impossible or very unlikely situations.
