Knowing how to ask for and give directions is an essential skill when visiting a new place or helping someone find their way. In this lesson, we will learn the key vocabulary and expressions used for giving directions in English.

Useful Expressions / تعابير مفيدة
Asking for directions / طلب الاتجاهات:
- Excuse me, how do I get to the station? / عفواً، كيف أصل إلى المحطة؟
- Where is the nearest hospital, please? / أين أقرب مستشفى، من فضلك؟
- Can you tell me the way to the post office? / هل يمكنك أن تدلني على طريق مكتب البريد؟
- Is there a pharmacy near here? / هل توجد صيدلية قريب من هنا؟
Giving directions / إعطاء الاتجاهات:
- Go straight ahead for 200 metres. / اذهب مباشرة لمسافة 200 متر
- Turn left at the traffic lights. / انعطف يساراً عند إشارة المرور
- It’s on your right / left. / هو على يمينك / يسارك
- It’s opposite the bank. / هو مقابل البنك
- You can’t miss it! / لا يمكنك أن تخطئه!

A: Excuse me, is there a supermarket near here?
B: Yes, there is one on Baker Street.
A: How do I get there?
B: Go straight ahead, turn right at the traffic lights, and it’s on your left, next to the bank.
