These prepositions are used to talk about time.

At

Used for:

• Specific times: at 5 o’clock, at midnight, at noon
• Meal times: at breakfast, at lunch
• Holiday periods: at the weekend, at Christmas

In

Used for:

• Months: in January, in March
• Seasons: in summer, in winter
• Years: in 2020, in 1999
• Parts of the day: in the morning, in the afternoon

On

Used for:

• Days: on Monday, on Friday
• Dates: on July 5th, on 1st January
• Specific days: on my birthday, on holiday
