Conditional sentences are used to express situations that depend on a condition. There are three main types of conditional sentences in English.

Type 1: Real/Probable Condition (Present/Future)

Aspect	Explanation	Example
Form	If + Present Simple, will + V1	If it rains, I will stay home.
Use	Real or likely situation in the future	If you study, you will pass the exam.
Variation	Can use modals: can, may, might, should	If you finish early, you can leave.

Type 2: Unreal/Hypothetical Condition (Present)

Aspect	Explanation	Example
Form	If + Past Simple, would + V1	If I had money, I would buy a car.
Use	Imaginary or unlikely situation in the present	If I were you, I would accept the offer.
Note	Use “were” for all subjects in the if-clause	If she were here, she would help us.

Type 3: Unreal Condition (Past)
