Question Tags
Introduction
Question tags are short questions added at the end of sentences. We use them to confirm information or start a conversation.
Rules
1. Positive statement → negative tag: You are Ali, aren’t you?
2. Negative statement → positive tag: You aren’t tired, are you?
Examples
– You like coffee, don’t you?
– She can swim, can’t she?
– He has a car, doesn’t he?
– They went home, didn’t they?
– It won’t rain, will it?
