Making Suggestions

Making and responding to suggestions is an important skill for BAC oral and written exams.

Making suggestions

• Lets + V1: Lets go to the cinema.
• How about + V-ing: How about visiting the museum?
• Why dont we + V1: Why dont we study together?
• Shall we + V1: Shall we take a break?
• What about + V-ing: What about having lunch now?

Responding

Positive: Good idea! / That sounds great! / Yes, lets do that. / Why not? Negative: I dont think so. / Id rather not. / Thats not a good idea.
