There is and There are
Use “there is” for singular and “there are” for plural nouns.
Affirmative
- There is a book on the table.
- There are two pens in the bag.
Negative
- There isn’t any water.
- There aren’t any students.
Questions
- Is there a library in your school?
- Are there any parks in your city?
