Learning colours and shapes helps you describe objects and the world around you.

Colours

• Primary: red, blue, yellow
• Secondary: green (blue+yellow), orange (red+yellow), purple (red+blue)
• Basic: black, white, grey, brown, pink
• Light/Dark: light blue, dark green, bright red, pale yellow

Shapes

• Circle (round) – Square – Rectangle – Triangle – Star – Heart – Diamond – Oval – Crescent – Cross

Adjectives for describing

• Bright – Dark – Light – Pale – Deep – Soft – Strong
