This, That, These, Those

Demonstratives are used to point to things. They change according to distance and number.

Singular

This: something near (singular). This book is mine.
That: something far (singular). That car is red.

Plural

These: things near (plural). These pencils are new.
Those: things far (plural). Those houses are big.

Exercises
