Simple Present
Habits, routines, general truths. Structure: S + V(s/es). Ex: She reads every day.
Present Progressive
Actions happening now. Structure: S + am/is/are + V-ing. Ex: She is reading now.
Key words
Present: always, usually, often, sometimes, never. Progressive: now, at the moment, look!, listen!
Exercise
Choose: She (reads/is reading) a book every night. They (play/are playing) football now.
