This, That, These, Those: Demonstratives

Demonstratives are used to point to specific people or things. They change according to distance and number.

1. This / These (near)

This (singular, near): This is my book.
These (plural, near): These are my books.

2. That / Those (far)

That (singular, far): That is your house.
Those (plural, far): Those are your houses.
